Why We Exist


Our purpose is to provide options and truth to all expecting parents, whether it be a baby that was hoped and prayed for or a crisis pregnancy that was completely unplanned. We foster a network of care to empower and support parents from pregnancy and beyond. Our team is dedicated to seeing people thrive despite their difficult circumstances and to see our community strong.

Our Beginnings

The Pregnancy Center of Okeechobee was founded in 2008 and exists to serve anyone involved in a difficult pregnancy situation. The staff and volunteers at our center genuinely care about the women and men who walk through our doors and are eager to assist you with all of your concerns.

Our Goals

  • Provide education and support to people in our community as they make important decisions about pregnancy.

  • Create a safe, confidential and caring haven in which options can be provided for women experiencing an unexpected pregnancy.

  • Provide practical services related to pregnancy, childrearing, and relationships.

  • To serve the whole community, regardless of race, creed, age, economic status, or marital status.

Can I do this Alone?

The good news is that you don’t have to. Our parenting coordinator takes great pride in empowering expecting parents with knowledge and resources so that you never have to feel alone.

How can I go to school and parent a child?

There are resources available to you to help afford child care if you are still in school. As well as resources in schools to help you succeed in your studies as a young parent.

What if I cannot afford raising a baby?

There are local resources available to help you with the financial burden that a baby can bring. We work closely with other local organizations that can help you afford food, housing, and necessary baby items for you and your baby.

Is everything really Free?

Yes! Our ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, women’s wellness exams, STI tests, and treatment are all completely cost-free to you!

Do I have to tell my parents?

Confidentiality is our highest priority. We will never release your private information to anyone unless we have your written consent or unless we are required to by law
